Games On Net has a follow-up to reports from our Wednesday news post that F.E.A.R. 2: Project Origin has been refused classification for sale in Australia by their Office of Film and Literature Classification (Thx:Blue'sNews). Those who picked "too many cuddly bunnies" in the reasons pool will be disappointed to learn that the justification for refusing to classify the game actually has to do with gore and violence. They offer an example of what was problematic:
"...Michael uses his sub machine gun to explicitly bisect an enemy, the two parts of the body lying separately on the ground, with copious blood spray. There are also a number of explicit close range decapitations involving both human and mutant creatures. The decapitations are the result of close-up throat slashing from behind and close-up gunshots to the throat."
