New Red Alert 3 patches are now available (Thx:Blue's News), offering the third new version of the real-time strategy sequel since it shipped on Tuesday. This forum thread offers download locations for the new version 1.03 patch for the various language editions of the game, and explains the purpose of the new patch is to point the game to a new location for future patch download, a change intended to make auto-updates work more smoothly in the future:
"We made an emergency patch 1.03 to move the patches to a much faster server called Limelight which we will be using permanently going forward. When you download this patch and future patches, you should experience far better download times, and the black screen delay should be short if not non-existant [sic]." 27 - 45 MB
