World War II: The First Blitzkrieg Review

For years, John Tiller and HPS have published many games of the grand tactical Panzer Campaign series. Although serious students of World War II have embraced the series, cries of “cookie cutter” have been heard. Additionally, serious complaints have been registered about the graphics and AI. Tiller has answered the innovation question by creating a divisional/regimental system that will eventually encompass all of World War II in one map. World War II: The First Blitzkrieg is the first installment, covering the German conquests of 1939-’40. The responses to the other criticisms are a mixed bag.
