The Medal of Honor franchise has had a rocky few years. After the wonderful Medal of Honor: Allied Assault, it seemed the series was doomed to a never-ending slide into mediocrity. Apparently EA woke up to the fact that the franchise needed a major kick in the pants, as Medal of Honor: Airborne brings to the table a revitalized style and substance. Whether it can hurdle the World War II barrier with hardcore gamers turned off by the subject remains to be seen, but after playing through the entire single-player campaign, we're pretty happy by the rebound EA LA has created.
