There are some games that transcend their lowly beginnings to become true landmarks in the realm of gaming---Chess, Backgammon, Monopoly, Risk---to name but a few. Wargaming, due to its more esoteric nature, can claim very few such titles. However, once in a very long while, a wargame will breach the walls of its militaristic fort and ascend to a level of gaming fame that is often reserved for lighter, less martial, fare. Harpoon is such a game.
