Paradox Interactive has released a game demo and patch for Combat Mission: Shock Force its tactical military simulation currently released in Europe. The demo includes 2 scenarios (1 being a tutorial), full multiplayer modes, and game editor (but no save). Paradox released an updated patch (replacing v1.01 released late yesterday) adding gameplay fixes, A.I. & performance improvements, updated scenarios, campaigns, etc. The following patch is ONLY for the full (non-demo) Paradox release CD version of the game (v1.0). If you pre-ordered or ordered the game directly from Battlefront.com or downloaded your game, YOU DO NOT NEED THIS PATCH!
If you are unsure of the version you have, launch the game and make note of the version # listed at the bottom of the main menu page. Unless it says "v1.0", DO NOT INSTALL THIS PATCH!
Another way to tell is that if you had to enter a eLicense code to run your game, then DON'T APPLY THIS PATCH!
