PlayStation Universe reports that Alliance: The Silent War is on hold, saying the future of this era-spanning first-person shooter is in doubt after Windward Mark Interactive signed a deal with Linden Lab to spiff up the graphics in Second Life (which included word: "AllianceTM, the online game developed by Windward Mark Interactive, does not form part of the acquisition and will continue to be developed as a separate entity."). Word from Windward president Asi Lang is: "We're still determining in which direction we want to take things. We'll see how it plays with our new roles here at Linden...we're very much still in love with the project."
