We get our first look at the next epic struggle for Earth.

While we enjoyed the last Empire Earth, there were plenty of complaints that the game just tried to do too much and ended up a confused jumble. Going back and playing it again makes us want to agree a bit more than we did when we were playing the game for review. The game has some terrific ideas and features, but there were a lot of them. Mad Doc heard the complaints and took them to heart. While Empire Earth III isn't likely to be incredibly simple by many RTS gamer standards, it's definitely a step towards easier accessibility. What's interesting is that this step towards more understandable gameplay also comes with a step away from their attempts at realism in some ways.
