Although tethers and key rings can help you avoid losing your flash drive in the first place, not much can really be done to eliminate that problem. But, if you do happen to lose your drive, you may want to lose something like the Transcend JetFlash 210. This drive features a finger print scanner on the body that will allow only the owner of the authorized digit to access the protected files on the device. Even if you don't lose it, this could be a great feature for securing sensitive data on your flash drive, as well as elsewhere on your computer system.
