Groove Games' World War II Combat: Iwo Jima Product Section and the Flash-heavy World War II Combat Iwo Jima Website unveil a budget PC/Xbox World War II first-person shooter from Direct Action Games. The Product Section carries yesterday as the project's release date, but Amazon lists it as expected on July 1, 2006, which is probably more accurate. The game will feature authentic WWII weaponry, multiplayer support, and modest system requirements for the PC edition. Here's a bit of the description:
"Welcome to the fight, soldier… The deafening thunder of artillery fire echoes the pounding heart in your chest as you wade onto a beach littered with the bodies of your fallen comrades.
