Although we like our shooters and real-time strategy games, PC land still has plenty of room for "traditional" and action-based RPGs. Although something like Titan Quest may not be as deep as its BioWare or Bethesda brethren, this can also work as an advantage. TQ is easy to pick up, thanks to a familiar, streamlined design; you kill stuff, you get loot, you gain abilities, and you become a hero (or heroine) for an evening. With its ancient Greek setting, TQ also offers us more than the usual elves, goblins and wizards and hews closely to Clash of the Titans-style adventure. Minotaurs, gorgons, harpies and satyrs make up the majority of the bestiary, in the first third of the game at least, and then you move to Egypt and Asia.
