The Battlefield 2 website has been updated with a new community update. In it, DICE/EA acknowledge the issues brought upon by the latest patch, while also telling mod teams:
"We understand the difficulties you have worked through and we are continuing to look for ways to help everyone and find ways to promote all of the mods and their hard working teams".
