At the end of the Second World War, the leaders of the Western Allies and the Soviet Union were faced with the prospect of fighting each other for control of Europe. The Soviet Union enjoyed a tremendous advantage in terms of soldiers and Stalin was hopeful that an attack on the West would lead to Communist revolutions in Allied countries. The war that never was is the subject of the latest stand-alone expansion to Paradox Interactive's grand-strategy game, Hearts of Iron II.
