MSI's Upgradeable GPU Adaptor May Change the Way You Buy Video Cards

Over the course of the last week, Microstar International (MSI), quietly released its upgradeable SLI GPU card. The new card, dubbed Geminium Go, uses a standard PCIe x16 interface to the motherboard, but allows a user to plug in one or two NVIDIA MXM graphics adaptors, which the card will automatically put into SLI mode. Although mostly a proof of concept device, the card is also one of the first “upgradeable” video cards to ever see the light of day.
