The few moments I had with Operation Flashpoint: Red River made one thing clear: this is the iteration where they try to engage a wider audience. A small portion of our readership is probably crestfallen to read that, but to me it's a welcome change. Red River still has plenty of settings that can be manipulated to please the longtime fans out there who want a simulation, but Codemasters has set out to recruit an army of new players with a game that puts fun before everything else.
