There's a lot to love about THQ's next big shooter. Here's our pick.

While Frontlines: Fuel of War didn't exactly generate a resounding shockwave through the shooter sphere, developer Kaos Studios set in motion the right combination of tight shooter mechanics and evocative setting to that would go on to steer Homefront. Now, after our time with the game's stunning opening chapter, we can happily report that Homefront really is shaping up to be something very special. Already comparisons to the highly scripted and directed action of Valve's seminal Half-life 2 are starting to emerge.
The reasons are clear – Homefront is at its very best when it ramps up the scripted events and gives the player some tremendous tools of destruction. Here are Homefront's Best Bits so far.
