Ubisoft has guaranteed PC gamers that upcoming RTS R.U.S.E hasn't been dumbed down just because it's being ported to console.
R.U.S.E - which is released on PS3, 360, Mac and PC next month - is set during World War 2 and, as its name suggests, gives you the option to bluff your opponent.
It has won early acclaim for its colourful art style and giant maps - and has even been likened to RTS classic Supreme Commander.
"Well obviously R.U.S.E. is not a console port," the game's senior producer Mathieu Girard told CVG.
"It is a lead PC title, which had a parallel development for the consoles. We managed to have a very simple and cool interface, but at no point did we sacrifice the depth of the game because of the console. So we are not trying to sell a simple game to PC gamers. R.U.S.E. is a deluxe strategy game made for them."
