Review: Zalman Z7 Plus Mid Tower Computer Case

In my capacity as a computer hardware reviewer, I've had the pleasure to evaluate some of the best computer cases available. Several of these have come from Zalman. All the Zalman cases I've had in the lab have been of the highest quality with rich, innovative feature sets and striking aesthetics. Unfortunately, the high cost of these excellent products put them out of reach for the mainstream enthusiasts. Recently, however, Zalman has taken a stab at this large, but very competitive market with a couple of cases that fit nicely into the mainstream chassis category with respect to cost. Dubbed the Z7 and the Z7 Plus, they have an MSRP of $65 and $75 respectively with the difference being the addition of a different side panel treatment featuring an extra 120mm fan and fan control housed in an attractive cowling. We have the Z7 Plus in the lab for evaluation and I'm anxious to see what Zalman has in store for us for this relatively low price.
