A post to the Empire: Total War Forums by Creative Assembly's Mark (SenseiTW) O'Connell indicates they are hoping Napoleon: Total War will be gold by the end of this week: "Things are going very well with Napoleon: Total War and we are working hard towards it going Gold at the end of the week."
