Not so bad. Not so good, either.

You know, the thing about ambition is that the higher you try to jump to clear the bar, the harder you fall if you miss. Special Forces: Nemesis Strike, weighing in at a hefty 3.5 gigabytes across three CDs, is a departure from the usual lower-budget fare we've seen come out of Europe; much larger in scope, much greater in variety, and with an extra layer of polish. But while it far exceeds the caliber of titles like PsychoToxic or Starsky & Hutch, it puts itself up against some stiff competition when it enters a new weight category. Part Metal Gear Solid, part Kill.Switch with a smattering of Killzone, Nemesis Strike only manages to echo each of these games, instead of capturing their particular appeals to make the game more than a sum of its parts.
