JM Mathé, 53 years old, has worked on real time imagery systems and Artificial Intelligence concepts such as neural networks, genetic algorithms, fuzzy logic for many years. This experience has been very useful in designing and developing Napoleonic wargames, which he has done for the last 12 years. For the last three years JMM has been working full time on HistWar: Les Grognards, and he is supported by numerous specialists in the Napoleonic era. Their aim is to create a solid wargame keeping in mind that wargame first means “game”. The Wargamer’s Editor-in-Chief, Jim Zabek managed to get a few minutes with him for an interview.
