The expanded World in Conflict campaign with a new, Russian accent is finally close to arriving.

World in Conflict: Soviet Assault has taken longer-than-expected to get here, due to circumstances that were entirely out of developer Massive Entertainment's control. Now with the game finally prepared to ship later this month we had a chance to check out the first couple of missions. Frankly, any chance to play more World in Conflict is fine by us, because it was one of the best strategy games of 2007. With its fast pace, destructible environments, and loads of explosions, World in Conflict is almost like an action game, and its team-based multiplayer gameplay makes it the real-time strategy equivalent of titles like Battlefield 2.
