Wanting to give AMD a little scare as a Christmas present, NVIDIA has today given select websites the green light to post previews of its upcoming dual-GPU monster named GeForce GTX 295. The card has a PCI-Express 2.0 interface, two PCBs and two 55nm GT200b GPUs, each with 240 Processing Cores, a 2x448-bit memory interface, 1792 MB of GDDR3 memory and Quad SLI support. NVIDIA's plan is to release the GeForce GTX 295 at CES 2009 next month and have it priced at $499, slightly above the cheaper Radeon HD 4870 X2 around.
