It seems that another Russian company has taken note of the popularity
of Su27 from SSI and are hard at work at a simulation of the Su 35. We
don't want to give away too much prior to a hands on look, but this
simulation appears to be well along in development.
Carl Norman at SSI (Exec Producer for Flanker 2) didn't know
about this sim, although the Lead Programmer had a major role in Su 27
1.2. With that history, it could turn out to be a solid simulation,
even if it does lack some of the more advanced features of Flanker 2.
The fascinating part is that the goal of the simulation is NOT
the PC gaming market, but the military training market. here are a
couple of screens, and we'll tell you more when we know more.
