tom-clancys-the-divisionToday, Ubisoft revealed early details on the post-launch plans for Tom Clancy’s The Division including what players can expect in the Season Pass. As an online open world RPG, the game is designed to provide a max-level experience and keep players entertained after the main story arc is completed.

The development team has a complete post-launch plan to keep the experience fresh for all players, including several free updates, new features and functionality, as well as 3 major expansions to provide a renewed gameplay experience after launch. Expansion I: Underground

Ubiblog now offers an interactive map to offer a look at how Manhattan is depicted in Tom Clancy’s The Division. Here’s the explanation of the map, and why it will not help you locate a Starbucks:

If you’ve been keeping up on The Division, then you probably already know its premise: New York City falls victim to an epidemic that not only wipes out most of its citizens, but also sparks unprecedented levels of violence and crime. Its infrastructure is nearly non-existent and the city is on the verge of complete collapse. And now, thanks to an update on The Division site, you can get a closer look at the extent of the destruction through an interactive map.

This map lets you take a 360-degree look at what’s going on in the streets of Manhattan, complete with details and developer insights about key points of interest that will help you and other Agents prepare for various challenges. All you need to do is click on a designated point on the map, and you’ll zoom to street level where you can then explore your surroundings and learn more about New York’s more dangerous elements, like the not-so-friendly Cleaners – a group trying to cleanse the streets of Manhattan by setting just about everything on fire.

After almost three years of various trailers and demos, I wasn’t sure I understood exactly what type of experience The Division wanted to focus on. Was it strictly an open-world adventure? A traditional MMORPG? Or was it staying close to the classic Tom Clancy framework and focusing on being a tactical co-op/PVP shooter? After spending a few hands-on hours with it, I realized that it manages to be all of these things simultaneously – and it seems like it’s just the game I’ve been looking for.

Just in time for the holidays, Ubisoft has published a Christmas-themed live-action trailer for The Division.

In the video, directed by Xavier Gens (Hitman) and shot at the Fox Studios lot in LA, a young boy sings the famous Christmas carol, “Silent Night.” It starts off with a peaceful, Christmastime backdrop. But soon, the scene and the lyrics take a dark turn. We won’t spoil it for you, but it’s a powerful trailer.

Ubisoft has unveiled a new video for Tom Clancy’s The Division, an online, open-world RPG developed by Massive Entertainment and due to launch on March 8th, 2016 for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation 4. The beta test will take place in early 2016.

A devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City, and one by one, basic services fail. In only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, a classified unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated. Leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, The Division agents are trained to operate independently of command, as all else fails. Fighting to prevent the fall of society, the agents will find themselves caught up in an epic conspiracy, forced to combat not only the effects of a manmade virus, but also the rising threat of those behind it.
