fallout4-logoFallout 4’s first add-on, Automatron, is almost here, and we’re excited to share the official trailer with you today.

Automatron will be available for download across Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on Tuesday, March 22.

In Automatron, the mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons such as the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices! (For characters level 15 or higher.)

Automatron marks the first add-on release for Fallout 4. In April, we’re expanding the capabilities of settlements with Wasteland Workshop, and in May, travel beyond the Commonwealth to Maine for Far Harbor – the largest landmass Bethesda Game Studios has ever created for post-release content. And, that’s just the beginning, with even more add-ons to be released in 2016. Stay tuned for more details on free updates like Survival Mode and the Creation Kit, which will allow you to create mods on the PC and then share and play them across all platforms, including consoles.

Ubisoft announces the release of Tom Clancy’s The Division, calling it an open-world action/RPG this time, and saying it should now be available for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. This post on the game’s official website covers what to expect from a day one patch with a list of changes since the open beta. There’s a post about the release on the UbiBlog that features the previously released launch trailer, and the following details:

Have you been itching to take to the streets and restore order to an epidemic-ravaged Manhattan? The Division is ready for you, and you can now explore its online open world on PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Casting you as an elite sleeper Agent equipped with realistic weapons and futuristic tactical gear, The Division invites you to match wits with deadly roving gangs and other players while you fight to reclaim New York from chaos.

An action-RPG, The Division gives you not just the chance to freely roam Manhattan with up to three other players, but to customize your Agent to suit your play style and/or preferred role on the team. You’ll also encounter other teams in the quarantined Dark Zone, where – amid battling other threats – you’ll have the choice of working together or turning on other Agents for a chance at snagging rare weapons and equipment for yourself.

The Division arrives alongside its companion book, The Division: New York Collapse, which takes the form of a survival guide filled with scribbled notes and removable clues left by a survivor as she investigated the mystery behind the pandemic. Following launch, players will be able to take on new tasks and challenges within the main storyline and end-game through daily and weekly missions as well as Dark Zone events. In addition to these ongoing activities, two free updates will be available to all players, adding new features and most-wanted functionalities:

  • Incursions: In April, the first free update will introduce the first incursion, a new challenging end-game activity developed specifically for squad play. Teams will be able to test their skills as they face seemingly unstoppable enemies to gain high-level weapons and equipment. This update will also add one of the community’s most-wanted feature, loot trading; allowing players in the same group to trade loot collected during a co-op game session.

Three paid expansions will also be released over the course of the year and be will available in the Season Pass, the Gold Edition and the Sleeper Agent/Collector’s edition of the game. • Expansion II: Survival - Available this summer, this expansion will challenge players to survive as long as possible by gathering essential supplies in a very hostile environment.

tom-clancys-the-divisionUbisoft has released “Collapse”, a realistic simulator that shows how quickly a weaponized virus can spread, leading to the collapse of society, as depicted in the upcoming online open-world action RPG Tom Clancy’s The Division.

Collapse is an online interactive experience that uses real data to create an immersive and personalised projection of the end of society. The user is patient zero of this highly infectious virus and has to make several choices that will have consequences on the spread of the pandemic.

Based on Open Street Map, NASA open source data and IATA Flight routes, with input from emergency risk specialists and public service employees, Collapse features more than 3800 cities worldwide, home of 95% of the population. The user can compare different scenarios by choosing another epicenter or by making different choices in the simulator, and find the most vulnerable and the safest cities.

This simulator is based on the storyline of Tom Clancy’s The Division, which takes place in a mid-crisis New York that has been devastated by a deadly fictional virus named Variola Chimera. The Division, a secret unit of self-supported tactical agents, is activated to restore order in the city and take back New York.

Collapse is a powerful reminder of the fragility and complexity of our interdependent systems on which we rely daily – power, transport, communications, banking and hospitals. When one of them collapses, the other ones fail in a matter of days. Collapse shows how fast our world would fall down in case of a pandemic similar to what happens in Tom Clancy’s The Division and help players understanding the context of the game.

To try Collapse and see how quickly your own city would fall, visit here.

The Division launches for PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, and Xbox One and Windows PC on March 8th.

On average, players spent 4 hours and 52 minutes as an activated sleeper agent, journeying through The Division’s pandemic-stricken New York City. More than one third of that time was spent in The Division’s unique and challenging player-versus-player (PVP) environment, the Dark Zone, with more than 2.5 million players going rogue.

You can sign up for the beta on the Ubisoft website and those accepted can begin preloading now. Also, everyone who participates in the open beta gets access to a special in-game reward that can be unlocked in Uplay when the full game is released for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC on March 8.

Tom Clancy’s The Division takes place weeks after a devastating pandemic sweeps through New York City on Black Friday. One by one, basic services fail and in only days, without food or water, society collapses into chaos. The Division, an autonomous unit of tactical agents leading seemingly ordinary lives among us, is activated to save society. Team up with other players to investigate the source of the virus, protect civilians from dangerous factions, and reclaim the city from the overwhelming turmoil.

fallout4-logoToday we revealed details for the first three Fallout 4 add-ons, plans for additional content, updates, mods, and more. Since Fallout 4 launched, we’ve been blown away by your support for the game. It stands as our most successful title ever and that couldn’t have happened without you. It’s been truly inspiring, the stories, images and experiences that you’ve created. And now it’s time to share with you some of what we’ve been creating – our first series of add-ons: Automatron, Wasteland Workshop and Far Harbor.

  • Automatron
  • Release: March 2016
  • The mysterious Mechanist has unleashed a horde of evil robots into the Commonwealth, including the devious Robobrain. Hunt them down and harvest their parts to build and mod your own custom robot companions. Choose from hundreds of mods; mixing limbs, armor, abilities, and weapons like the all-new lightning chain gun. Even customize their paint schemes and choose their voices!
  • Wasteland Workshop
  • Release: April 2016
  • With the Wasteland Workshop, design and set cages to capture live creatures – from raiders to Deathclaws! Tame them or have them face off in battle, even against your fellow settlers. The Wasteland Workshop also includes a suite of new design options for your settlements like nixi tube lighting, letter kits, taxidermy and more!
  • Far Harbor
  • Release: May 2016
  • A new case from Valentine’s Detective Agency leads you on a search for a young woman and a secret colony of synths. Travel off the coast of Maine to the mysterious island of Far Harbor, where higher levels of radiation have created a more feral world. Navigate through the growing conflict between the synths, the Children of Atom, and the local townspeople. Will you work towards bringing peace to Far Harbor, and at what cost? Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than £45 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016.

Given the expanded DLC plan, the price of the season pass will increase from the current £24.99 to £39.99 on March 1, 2016. However, if you already purchased the season pass for £24.99, nothing changes – you still get everything at no additional cost— the full £45 offering of add-on content for the original price of £24.99. In addition, if you didn’t buy the season pass yet, there is still time: Anyone who buys the Season Pass for £24.99 before March 1st will get all £45 worth of content. This is our way of saying thanks to all our loyal fans who have believed in us and supported us over the years.

Want a chance to play these add-ons early? We’ll be running closed betas for each of the add-ons for consoles and PC. And you can sign up right now on Bethesda.net. In order to apply, you’ll need to create a registered Bethesda.net account. We’ll be selecting applicants in the upcoming weeks. Players accepted into the beta will receive a code to redeem the content. The beta is the full version (complete with achievements) and those participating will not have to purchase the add-on.

Beyond add-ons, we’ll continue to offer free updates to the game, including new features like the recent weapon debris for PC, and increased draw distances for consoles, as well as more optimizations to gameplay and quests. And something that we’re really excited about, a complete overhaul of Survival Mode that changes how you play the whole game. Food, sleep, diseases, danger and more.

We’re also hard at work on the Creation Kit, which will allow you to create and play mods absolutely free. We’re currently testing both Survival Mode and the Creation Kit now, and more details will be forthcoming.

Now, with Pillars of Eternity winning awards and standing as one of the biggest RPG releases of 2015, I’m proud to say we fulfilled our promise to our backers, and then some.
