AMD has released the latest version of its Radeon driver package, Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.3.1. The changelog indicates an improvement of up to 6% Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon: Wildlands, as well as a new CrossFire profile for the same game. Also included is a big list of fixed issues, which we have included below for your examination.

NVIDIA today released a hotfix version of its GeForce driver suite. Numbered the 378.77, these fix some issues with the previous driver release, numbered 378.66. Solved issues include driver installation errors for laptops with GeForce GTX 1050 and 1050 Ti GPUs, crashes in Minecraft and some other Java-based titles, and resolving ‘Debug Mode’ as default option on Pascal based GPUs.
This driver release contains all previous improvements, including an optimized experience for Sniper Elite 4, For Honor and Halo Wars 2, whilst also introducing support for NVIDIA’s Video SDK 8.0, which provides support for high-bit-depth (10/12-bit) hardware accelerated video decoding of VP9 and HEVC.

AMD has released the 17.2.1 WHQL version of its Radeon Software Crimson ReLive. This release features Multi GPU profiles and support for For Honor (with an up to 4% performance improvement on Radeon RX 480) and Sniper Elite 4 (with a 5% performance improvement being registered here). Look after the break for a list of known, fixed issues. Compared to the previous 17.2.1 Beta release of the ReLive driver suite, this one is virtually the same, the only difference being the WHQL signing.

We will look at Sniper Elite 4 from Rebeliion – in our PC graphics performance and PC gamer way. The 4th iteration of the game now is DirectX 12 compatible with ASYNC enrolment. We’ll test the game on the PC platform relative towards graphics card performance with the latest AMD/NVIDIA graphics card drivers. Multiple graphics cards are being tested and benchmarked. NVIDIA today released a new Game Ready driver package containing performance tweaks and optimizations for three games: Sniper Elite 4, For Honor, and Halo Wars 2.
The new driver, version 378.66, is WHQL certified and not a beta release. It’s a relatively minor update in that it doesn’t introduce any SLI profiles that weren’t already included in prior 378 drivers, though it did add 3D compatibility mode profiles for Sniper Elite 4 and For Honor, both listed as “excellent.” You can grab the release notes here.

NVIDIA released the GeForce 378.57 Hotfix drivers, designed to address glaring bugs. The driver update fixes a critical game crash bug noticed in “Minecraft” and other Java-based titles; and resolves “debug mode” being the default mode on GPUs based on the “Pascal” architecture. NVIDIA released the GeForce 376.80 Beta drivers. These drivers are being released exclusively through the Vulkan developer support channel, and come with bug fixes for the company’s implementation of Vulkan API support. The change-log is limited to just “bug fixes,” and the drivers are not WHQL-signed. If you’re gaming on the Vulkan API, on titles such as “Doom,” “Ashes of the Singularity,” etc.
