AMD today released the Radeon Software Crimson ReLive 17.4.2 drivers, its second release this month. The drivers are important if you’ve updated Windows 10 to the latest “Creators Update” (version 1703), since it supports the new WDDM 2.2 driver model. In addition, the drivers fix bugs related to SteamVR asynchronous reprojection, poor multi-GPU scaling for “Battlefield 1″ in DirectX 11 mode, flickering noticed on ReLive running on Windows 7, and a bug with Radeon Settings that removes application profiles upon logout.

NVIDIA today released GeForce 381.65 WHQL “Game Ready” drivers. The drivers come with optimization for “Quake Champions” closed beta. This isn’t, however, the biggest change with these drivers. These are the first WHQL-signed drivers from NVIDIA to support WDDM 2.2, and with it, the upcoming Windows 10 Creators Update, due for April 11th. The drivers also add DTS X and Dolby Atmos support for 5.1.2 speaker configuration through the GPU’s in-built audio controller (which outputs from the HDMI and DP connectors). Also added is support for Dolby Vision. Games “Snake Pass” and “Kona” get support for NVIDIA Ansel. There’s also the curious case of the driver’s release-notes mentioning “Added support for the NVIDIA TITAN Xp.”

You can download the new GeForce 381.65 WHQL drivers from GeForce Experience and GeForce.com.

nvidia-gtx-1080-tiTomorrow, March 10th, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti goes on sale. Featuring the most powerful and efficient hardware we’ve ever designed, the $699 GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is up to 35% faster than the GeForce GTX 1080, and is even faster in games than the $1200 NVIDIA TITAN X.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti achieves this feat through its implementation of 3,584 CUDA Cores, and 11GB of next-gen GDDR5X Video Memory (G5X VRAM) running out of the box at 11 Gbps. Even faster than the G5X memory on the GeForce GTX 1080 and NVIDIA TITAN X, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti’s blisteringly-fast G5X memory further increases memory bandwidth and takes performance to new heights.

In addition, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition features a new high-airflow thermal solution that’s cooler and quieter than previous designs, maximizing the potential of GPU Boost and enabling overclockers to achieve even faster speeds. And under the hood efficiency is improved thanks to a new 7-phase power design with 14 high-efficiency dualFETs that deliver better power efficiency at the highest usage and power levels.

We have a roundup of reviews on the new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti and the Founders Edition listed below:
