AMD over the weekend released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition. Version 19.6.1 Beta adds support for Microsoft Xbox Game Pass for PC. The groundbreaking new service from Microsoft benefits gamers who play on both PC and Xbox, by providing Windows PCs with a Library and common access to games across platforms. The drivers also address AMD Link not working correctly on some of the installations of Radeon Software.

AMD late Monday released a WHQL-signed version of Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition 19.5.2. This driver is practically identical to the 19.5.2 Beta released on May 23, and has an identical change-log. Compared to the 19.5.1 Beta, the drivers add optimization for “Total War: Three Kingdoms.” Multi-desktop flickering issues with Radeon VII are fixed. Radeon WattMan reporting incorrect max temperature on some GPUs has been fixed. GPU utilization counters of Radeon Overlay would show up on unsupported products, which has been fixed. Videos with HDR would freeze or show corruption with Windows Movies & TV app. This has been fixed.

NVIDIA Friday released the GeForce Hotfix 430.97 driver. Hotfix drivers are released when NVIDIA needs to address a limited number of glaring issues with a recently released driver, in this case, the 430.86 WHQL and 430.64 WHQL. Released only for Windows 10, the drivers fix a game crash noticed in “Forza Horizon 4″ when driving through tunnels. It also addresses a “Code 43″ error noticed on machines powered by Intel “Sandy Bridge” processors when trying to install the WDDM 2.6-ready 430.64 WHQL drivers on Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903).

NVIDIA has released its GeForce 430.86 WHQL graphics drivers. These drivers come with day-one “Game Ready” optimization for “Quake II RTX” and “Assetto Corsa Competizione.” Support is also added for Oculus Rift S and HTC VIVE Pro Eye HMDs, and three new monitors have been added to the G-Sync certification list. The drivers also change a few things around. “World of Warships” is no longer supported by GeForce Experience Freestyle. Several application crashes noticed on Adobe Premier Pro were fixed. Performance issues noticed on “Resolume Arena 6″ with GeForce RTX 2080 Notebook have also been fixed.

AMD has posted its latest version of the Radeon Software Adrenalin 2019 Edition. Version 19.5.2, signifying the second release for the month of May 2019, comes with release-date optimization for “Total War : Three Kingdoms.” Among the issues fixed are multi-display screen flickering problems noticed on Radeon VII, incorrect maximum temperature values reported by Radeon WattMan for certain GPUs, GPU Utilization showing up for unsupported products on Radeon Performance Metrics Overlay; and HDR video freezing or experiencing corruption on certain Ryzen APUs.

Just in time for the release of Bethesda’s open-world first-person shooter Rage 2 (find our performance analysis here), AMD has released their latest installment of the Radeon Adrenalin 2019 edition drivers for their graphics cards to make the most of the game. Indeed, AMD claims an improvement in game performance of up to 16% on the Radeon VII relative to last month’s 19.4.3 drivers, and this is in addition to added support for the big Windows 10 May 2019 update and instruction tracing for AMD’s GPU Profiler version 1.5.X.

NVIDIA has unveiled the GeForce 430.64 WHQL graphics drivers. These drivers include the crucial bug fix that caused abnormal CPU usage by telemetry, which was fixed by the non-WHQL 430.53 Hotfix . In addition, it comes Game Ready for “RAGE 2,” “World War Z,” and “Total War: Three Kingdoms.” The drivers also add SLI support for “Imperator: Rome,” and “Insurgency Sandstorm.” In addition to the high CPU-usage bug, version 430.64 WHQL fixes a flickering observed when 3DMark Time Spy is launched, an application crash with BeamNG, “Hitman 2″ DirectX 12 mode, and flickering noticed on secondary monitor when a video is played on the primary one, in dual-monitor setups.

NVIDIA has introduced their latest hotfix driver. Driver number 430.53 addresses reported issues of high CPU utilization (due to NVDisplay.Container.exe) on NVIDIA’s previous 430.39 WHQL driver, which added support for their latest GTX 1650 graphics card as well as Windows’ 1903 release.

A number of fixes have also been introduced by this driver version. Namely, flickering observed when 3DMark Time Spy is launched; BeamNG application crash on games launch; SLI freezes in Shadow of the Tomb Raider; and monitor flickering on the desktop when videos are being played on a secondary monitor.

AMD has released the latest in their driver suite, which brings about improved performance and support for Mortal Kombat 11 – that means gory details in full GPU-acceleration for the best possible gaming experience. Apart from that, not much to see here: there’s a fixed issue relating to AMD Link and Radeon Settings sometimes displaying incorrect parameters.
