NVIDIA has released the latest version of GeForce Game Ready drivers. Version 496.49 WHQL comes with optimization for “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy,” including support for DLSS. It also features optimization for “Age of Empires IV,” “Battlefield 2042″ (Early Access), “Call of Duty Vanguard,” “Chivalry 2,” “GTA Definitive Edition Trilogy,” “Forza Horizon 5,” “Jurassic World Evolution,” and “Riders Republic.” The drivers also fix certain legacy issues with “DOOM 3: BFG Edition,” and “Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.” A flickering issue noticed at 1080p on LG OLED C1 series monitors, has been fixed. The drivers also add G-SYNC support for several new monitors, and GeForce Experience optimizations.

AMD has released Radeon Software Adrenalin 21.10.3 beta drivers. These come with optimization for “Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy,” with over 21% performance improvement measured at 4K Ulra settings over the previous driver, as tested using an RX 6900 XT graphics card. Optimization is also added for “Age of Empires IV,” where a massive 45% performance improvement was obtained at 4K max settings, using an RX 6800 XT. Other games optimized for is “Riders Republic” and “DOOM Eternal 6.66.”

Among the issues fixed are missing CPU tuning feature in Radeon Software for some users with Ryzen 9 5950X processors, elevated disk space utilization with Multimedia Athena, task-switching blackscreens in certain multi-display environments, a game crash noticed in “Battlefield V” with RX 6600 series, and image corruption notived with Radeon Boost enabled in “Cyberpunk 2077″ and RX 6700 XT.

Two months back, AMD launched the AMD Radeon RX 6600 XT, the first card to use the Navi 23 GPU. Today, AMD follows up with its first truly mainstream priced RX 6000-series card, the Radeon RX 6600. Take the same GPU but with four of the CUs (compute units) disabled, clock it a bit lower and you get the RX 6600 non-XT.

AMD has released the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin. Version 21.8.2 beta comes with optimization for “Myst,” with up to 6% performance improvement seen at 4K medium settings on a machine powered by a Radeon RX 6800 XT, compared to the previous 21.8.1 drivers. The drivers also feature optimization for “Aliens: Fireteam Elite.”

The drivers also fix a handful of issues. Difficulties ending an OBS recording session with h.265 or HEVC codec on some of the newer Radeon GPUs, such as the RX 6800 XT, have been fixed. An image corruption bug with split-screen multiplayer on “F1 2021,” has been fixed. Unresponsive behavior with Radeon Software in rare cases, has been fixed. Lighting corruption noticed in “Control” with DirectX 12 on cards such as the RX 6600 XT, has been fixed. Upgrading to the latest Radeon Software causing auto-updates in Ryzen Master to stop working, has been fixed.
