Normally we expect to see product ranges being refreshed after the big trade shows such as Computex, which happens next week in fact, but Cooler Master’s latest addition to its MasterCase range of cases is another in a long line of new tempered glass-clad models that are built around a similar chassis, and there are more to come as well. This particular model, like the H500P we reviewed recently, comes equipped with a pair of 200mm RGB fans with the boon of these being addressable with individually-controlled LEDs, but there’s plenty more here compared to the H500P for the extra £50 you’ll be spending.

NVIDIA today released the GeForce 397.93 WHQL “Game Ready” drivers. The drivers come with optimization for “The Crew” closed beta and “State of Decay 2.” SLI profiles are either added or updated for “DRG Initiative,” and “Star Wars: Battlefront II.” The drivers also introduce CUDA 9.2 support. In addition, the drivers also address a number of bugs.

You now no longer need to close Steam to enable/disable SLI. A “Wolfenstein II: TNC” bug that causes the game to freeze in the Roosevelt area, is fixed. A critical issue is fixed on machines with both “Pascal” and “Kepler” GPUs installed, in which the driver fails to load. Green flickering noticed in “Far Cry 5″ when using HDR on non-native screen-resolution, is fixed.

AMD has released their new Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.5.1 WHQL drivers. These are the first WHQL-certified drivers from the company for Windows 10 April 2018 Update, complying with WDDM 2.4, and support not just AMD Radeon discrete GPUs, but also Ryzen “Raven Ridge” APUs with integrated Radeon Vega graphics. The drivers support Microsoft PlayReady 3.0 DRM on “Polaris” GPUs.

Besides these features, Radeon Software Adrenalin 18.5.1 WHQL comes with optimization for “Ancestors Legacy,” with up to 6 percent higher frame-rates at 1080p, measured with an RX Vega 56, and up to 13 percent higher frame rates on an RX 580 (8 GB) at 1080p. The update fixes HBCC not resetting to default value when “Restore Factory Defaults” option is used in Radeon Settings. It also addresses ReLive streaming to Facebook intermittently failing; Netflix users experiencing display corruption on “Polaris” multi-GPU systems, abnormally high game load times in “Destiny 2,” and fixes for screen tearing observed on FreeSync displays with performance metrics enabled.

We’re big fans of the NZXT chassis range here at eTeknix. Fans enough to have built, and currently be building systems of our own in their amazing H400i and H700i chassis! However, the family isn’t complete, and the new H500i looks set to take the middle spot of the two chassis, blending features from both with an aim of wider appeal. The H700i is one of the, if not the most impressive chassis we’ve reviewed in years. However, it’s pretty darn expensive too. With the H500i, you get many of the features in a slightly more affordable package. However, there are a few other nips and tucks to the design and overall improvements too, making it very appealing to us.

AMD has very much upped its game with the latest generation of Ryzen processors. The Ryzen 2700X comes complete with a snazzy looking cooler that has served us well on our test bench, but what happens when you put it inside a hot case with a hot video card and put the screws to it in terms of GHz and wattage on our 4GHz Ryzen testing rig?

MSI recently launched two new high-end gaming keyboards, the full-size Vigor GK80 and its tenkeyless sibling, the Vigor GK70, which we’re reviewing today. Pricing comes in at £160 and £130 respectively, earmarking them as premium models. As such, it’s no surprise to learn that they come with a full set of mechanical switches and per-key RGB lighting.
