NVIDIA today posted, the latest version of GeForce software. Version 442.19 WHQL comes game-ready for “Zombie Army: Dead War 4,” “Apex Legends Season 4,” and “Metro Exodus: Sam’s Story.” With these drivers, NVIDIA improved the maximum frame-rate setting with limits between 20 and 1,000 FPS. Find this setting in “NVIDIA Control Panel>3D Settings>Maximum Frame Rate control.” NVIDIA also introduced VRSS (VR super-sampling), an image quality enhancement that super sampling selectively on the central region of a frame.

Among the bug fixes are a game crash during a cutscene in “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Blood and Wine,” SETI@Home experiencing driver crash (TDR) on “Maxwell” GPUs, random stoppage of OBS streaming with “Call of Duty Modern Warfare,” Battleye with NVIDIA low-latency mode causing a DWM crash and recovery; certain SLI+G-Sync stutter issues being fixed; a “Doom” (2016) game crash with “Kepler” GPUs, and an NVENC memory leak.

AMD has just re-released Radeon Software 20.1.3 as WHQL. These drivers are identical to the Adrenalin 20.1.3 Beta drivers posted earlier this month, with the only difference being WHQL certification. It looks like AMD’s driver team is hard at work fixing the various issues reported. 20.1.3 WHQL is an important release as it now gives RX 5600 XT owners a WHQL driver — previously they had to resort to beta drivers to power their new purchase.

Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.1.4 Beta was released just days ago and does include additional changes that aren’t integrated in 20.1.3 WHQL yet, because Microsoft’s WHQL certification process takes some time. A few days ago we reported that AMD silently patched a driver security issue with 20.1.1 Beta, maybe that’s a reason, too, why we’re seeing a WHQL version today.

The Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition 20.1.3 WHQL drivers are available online at the AMD driver download page.

AMD today released a new version of their Radeon Software Adrenalin 2020 Edition drivers. Version 20.1.4 Beta adds support for Warcraft III: Reforged, with increased performance by up to 11% in some scenarios. Support for “Journey to the Savage Planet” has also been added.

Fixed issues include corruption issues on Red Dead Redemption 2 under Vulkan; crashes on Vulkan-based games when performing a task switch while Radeon Image Sharpening is enabled; system hangs or black screens in GTA V at launch, missing audio in Radeon ReLive recordings, and Integer Scaling not being shown in some Windows 7 hardware configurations. Look after the break for other details of this release.

When you think of PC cooling, many of you will immediately think of both Corsair and an AIO cooler. You would be right to do so, they’re one of the biggest brands out there, and their AIO coolers are regarded as many of the best. Plus, their prices are pretty competitive, we know the performance is great, and they look good. So, what is Corsair doing making an air cooler? Well, this isn’t the first time. They did it a few years back with some budget air coolers, and well, they were a bit crap. Corsair is a much more premium brand these days, and the new A500 looks set to match their portfolio.

If you have read our three reviews yesterday, you will have noticed that the factory tweaked versions of the 5600 XT cards received BIOS updates that make them substantially faster.

NVIDIA lowered RTX 2060 pricing to 299 USD. And there’s where AMD made an 180 degree turn and pretty much created two separated SKUs for the 5600 XT. That would be the reference product, and then the factory tweaked (OC models) with greatly enhanced specs like a 180 Watt power envelope (opposed to 150W), an increase of the maximum turbo clock as well as a bump in GDDR6 memory data-rate going from 12 towards 14 Gbps.

Some board obviously already made retail prior to that BIOS update. Below you can see a collection of board partner links, with the BIOS updates and flash utilities.

AMD today released Radeon Software Adrenalin 20.1.3 beta drivers. These drivers add support for the new Radeon RX 5600 XT graphics card that’s hitting the shelves today; in addition to fixing a handful issues. To begin with, the drivers address a display signal loss noticed when performing parallel actions such as web browsing, gaming or watching video. Game crashes related to Nioh, Dragon Quest Builders 2, WWE 2K20, Dead or Alive 6 and Atelier Ryza were fixed. Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus now appears correctly in Radeon Software. Text overflow in some UI elements have been fixed. Loss of fan-tuning settings when switching between available GPUs has been fixed. Another kind of intermittent black screen on desktop idling for extended periods has been fixed.
