battlefield-5From jumping into a Panzer tank and piloting a Spitfire in the skies to supplying squadmates and building new fortifications to protect the team, this is World War 2 like only Battlefield can do. Battlefield V, the highly anticipated new game in this award-winning franchise, has been released from DICE, an Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:EA) studio. During the early access periods, the game has driven the most subscriptions for PC players on Origin Access Premier and Origin Access Basic. Battlefield V has also seen global critical acclaim with Screen Rant calling it “the best shooter of 2018” and Jeuxvideo.com claiming “the king of FPS is back.”

“With Battlefield V we set out to build the best playing game in the franchise’s history. Few other games are able to provide the kind of amazing and unscripted moments you experience in Battlefield, like pulling off crazy stunts in a plane while flying through a blown-up bridge as tanks and soldiers battle it out on the ground. The team here at DICE can’t wait to see what Battlefield V becomes in the hands of our community,” said Oskar Gabrielson, GM at DICE. “We have also set out to create a game that will grow and evolve over time, and we’re going to keep tinkering with the gameplay, and provide new experiences to our community for a long time to come.”

Battlefield V gives fans the chance to play the untold stories and visit the unexpected locations of WW2. In multiplayer, DICE builds upon the deepest and most immersive Battlefield experiences yet with massive gameplay changes and the development of new core systems. Whether it’s by foot, driving one of the many different armored vehicles or going swiftly by plane, squad up with three others to play the objectives in any given mode and choose between the recon, assault, medic or support class for whatever the team needs most. Players can prepare for battle across the eight maps and eight multiplayer modes and learn more about the game’s new innovations by visiting the Boot Camp.

In single player, Battlefield V brings back the acclaimed War Stories from Battlefield 1 to portray different people facing brutal warfare filled with Battlefield moments. Players will witness the war through the eyes of the men and women who helped change the world forever as they take on untold stories of human drama. Fight as a Norwegian resistance fighter in Nordlys, a Senegalese French Colonial fighter in Tirailleur or a British criminal in the Special Boat Services looking for a chance at redemption in Under No Flag.

On December 4, players can jump into the new single-player War Story, The Last Tiger, a new tank-focused map called Panzerstorm, the introduction of the Practice Range and a chance to stand out on the battlefield with vehicle customisations for both tanks and planes. Additionally, in the same week, Battlefield V will begin time-limited events from the first chapter of its new live service commitment to players, Tides of War. Each new chapter throughout Tides of War will feature evolving gameplay, an expanding world, new experiences and game improvements all completely free, bringing a new Battlefield with each one.

Chapter 2: Lightning Strikes, debuting in January, will see the introduction of the cooperative Combined Arms mode and the return of Rush and Squad Conquest. Launching in March, Chapter 3: Trial by Fire will see the introduction of the highly anticipated Battle Royale mode, Firestorm, and a new map set in Greece. Beyond the first chapters, more experiences will keep coming as the battlefields keep evolving.

Battlefield V is now available both digitally and in stores on Xbox One, PlayStation®4 and Origin™ on PC.

call-of-duty-black-ops-4-boxBest-Selling Series in Call of Duty Returns with Deepest, Most Engaging Title From Award-Winning Developer Treyarch

Black Ops 4 is here! The best-selling series in Call of Duty® returns with Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 available now, digitally and at global retailers worldwide. The most anticipated multi-platform game of this holiday according to Nielsen Game RankÔ, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 delivers a game-changing experience with more ways to play together with friends than ever before.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is packed with an amazing array and a massive amount of content across Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout, and the launch marks just the beginning of an incredible journey ahead,” said Rob Kostich, EVP and GM, Call of Duty. “When you pick up a Black Ops game, you know you have something you are going to play for a really long time, but Black Ops 4 takes that to an entirely new level. The team’s commitment is clear – no matter what kind of player you are, there is a ton of content to be enjoyed, and there is even more to come for everyone in the community. Black Ops 4 is unlike anything Treyarch has ever created and we think fans are going to have a blast.

We revealed playable Multiplayer earlier than ever, put in more Zombies available on day one than any other game, held two Betas, and along the way the response from the Black Ops community has been nothing short of incredible,” said Dan Bunting, Co-Studio Head, Treyarch. “Our mission was to build a game from the ground up that allowed fans to have fun together and play with one another in new ways – that’s just what we did, and the launch of Black Ops 4 is just the start. This is a game that we plan to support for the long haul.

The ambition driving the studio’s efforts doesn’t end there however; in fact, it’s been a colossal endeavor: from creating a signature take on battle royale with Blackout, to going all-out on PC with Beenox and working with Blizzard to bring the game to Battle.net for the first time, we pushed ourselves more than any game we’ve ever made. We feel that says something and we believe that it shows,” said Mark Gordon, Co-Studio Head, Treyarch. “We’ve been developing Black Ops games for ten years now, and I’ve never seen the studio create anything on this scale before.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 features three distinct modes of play: Multiplayer, Zombies and Blackout. Multiplayer features gritty, grounded combat in the most tactical, team-based experience in the Black Ops series to date. It features the return of the iconic Pick 10 system, along with a series of innovations in weapon controls, combat flow, health regeneration, and player movement. Black Ops 4 also features a combination of new and returning Specialists, each with their own unique equipment and playstyles, allowing players to not only be powerful alone, but devastating as a team working together.

Celebrating the 10-year anniversary of the original Call of Duty Zombies, Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 debuts an entirely new Zombies experience that is the biggest Day One offering in franchise history, with three fully-featured Zombies experiences at launch – IX, Voyage of Despair and Blood of the Dead. With the most customisable action to date, the mode introduces new systems for creating and completing community challenges, and social systems designed to connect players.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 introduces Blackout, an all-new Battle Royale mode that brings together characters, locations, weapons and gear from across the series in all-out survival combat, all with Black Ops signature gameplay. Blackout features land, sea and air vehicles, and offers a variety of new and classic playable characters, including campaign characters like Mason, Reznov and Woods; Zombies characters like Richtofen and Takeo; and Specialists like Crash, Battery and Seraph, to name a few. Across the sprawling Blackout map – the largest in Call of Duty history – players will fight in locations inspired by fan-favorite maps like Nuketown, Firing Range, Raid, Cargo and more.

The release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 also heralds the biggest season to date in Call of Duty esports with $6 million in total season prizing on the line. The Call of Duty World League will get underway with the first open LAN event of the new season, Dec. 7 – 9, in Las Vegas. For more information, visit CallofDuty.com/CWL.

In conjunction with the release of Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, the Call of Duty™ Endowment has kicked-off the #CODNATION Challenge, a live three-day charity event featuring Black Ops 4. Formerly known as the Race to Prestige, the annual stream brings together an array of video game personalities in a relay-style, fundraising gaming marathon. Across its nine-year history, the Call of Duty community has been instrumental in supporting the Endowment’s drive to place 50,000 veterans in high-quality jobs. The #CODNATION Challenge kicked-off yesterday and continues through tomorrow. Fans can watch all the action live on Twitch.tv/TheRace and follow @CODE4Vets for the latest updates and information for the #CODNATION Challenge.

battlefield-5This evening before gamescom DICE announced that the Battlefield V Open Beta will begin on September 4 for early access and September 6 for all players on Origin for PC, Xbox One and PlayStation®4. The Open Beta will showcase the soon-to-be-iconic Rotterdam map on Conquest mode as well as the Arctic Fjord map on both Conquest and Grand Operations. Revealed just last week, the Rotterdam map will immerse players in a battle fought throughout the streets of Holland where the game’s dynamic physicality and destruction will be on full display. New to the Battlefield franchise, Grand Operations is a multiplayer experience across multiple maps and modes that that takes players through a powerful narrative journey inspired by historical events. All of this Open Beta content can be previewed by attendees of gamescom this week, where it will be playable in Hall 6 on the show floor on PC and Xbox One X.

Also, this evening, DICE showcased NVIDIA’s new RTX technology announced during NVIDIA’s press conference with a jaw-dropping live demo of Battlefield V on PC, one of the first games being developed on the NVIDIA RTX platform to feature real-time ray tracing as a rendering technique. Previously used to pre-render lifelike worlds in movies, ray tracing with the NVIDIA RTX platform brings real-time, cinematic-quality rendering to video games. In Battlefield V, NVIDIA RTX allows DICE to imitate the way light is reflected in the real world enhancing the fidelity of reflective surfaces in every level, map and locale in the game. This will ensure Battlefield V feels more lifelike and dynamic, leading to a more immersive experience that makes players feel like the battle is unfolding in a full 360-degrees around them. The use of real-time ray tracing in Battlefield V is made possible by NVIDIA’s new GeForce RTX 20 series GPUs.

It’s always been important to us as a studio to stay one step ahead as we look to increase the graphical fidelity in games,” said Christian Holmquist, Technical Director at DICE. “With this new NVIDIA RTX platform, more detail than ever before can now be seen on the battlefield, from recognizing the flash of a muzzle being reflected off a car to spotting the detailed reflection of a devastated facade in a splash of water on the ground. Things in the environment will feel more lifelike and real and all-out war will never look the same.

We’ve been close partners with DICE for many years and we’ve spent much of the last year deeply embedded with their team in Stockholm to bring this vision to life,” said Tony Tamasi, Senior Vice
President of Content and Technology at NVIDIA. “With the help of NVIDIA RTX, DICE is creating a revolutionary moment for computer graphics in Battlefield V, as ray tracing has been used in film for years and has long been considered the Holy Grail for real-time rendering in games.

Building upon this partnership with NVIDIA, both NVIDIA Ansel and Highlights will be also be integrated into Battlefield V for GeForce PC gamers. NVIDIA Highlights automatically captures a gamer’s greatest gaming achievements in video. Integrated directly with the game, it knows precisely when that magic moment will happen and automatically records it using NVIDIA ShadowPlay technology, making it easier to capture those Only in Battlefield moments.

NVIDIA Ansel, available in the single-player War Stories in Battlefield V, is a revolutionary way to capture in-game photography. Users can compose shots from any position, adjust with post-process filters, capture HDR images in high-fidelity formats, and share their screenshots with the world.
