The Call of Duty Website has the news that Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is now available for PC and consoles, offering the latest installment in the annual military shooter series. You can pick up the Windows edition through Battle.net, Steam, or the Xbox Store. The previous PC Launch Trailer takes a look, and here’s your mission briefing:

Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower. With a mind-bending narrative, and unbound by the rules of engagement, this is signature Black Ops.

The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.

In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.

Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.

Sniper Elite: Resistance will launch on January 30th 2025

sniper-elite-resistanceRebellion, one of the world’s most successful independent video game developers and publishers, has today announced that Sniper Elite: Resistance will launch on January 30th, 2025 and is now available to pre-order. Sniper Elite: Resistance is coming day one to Game Pass and will be available both digitally and physically (with the boxed edition published by Fireshine Games) on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Windows PC and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Rebellion has also announced Sniper Elite: Resistance Deluxe Edition, which will include additional Season Pass content when that launches later in the year.

Gamers who pre-order Sniper Elite: Resistance receive a bonus new Target Führer campaign mission, an additional weapon skin, and the powerful Karabiner 98 Rifle. In addition to the bonuses included with the Standard Edition, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will also offer fans the classic M1911 Pistol and two days early access to the game.

In Sniper Elite: Resistance, Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe – something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war. This new standalone story runs in parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5 and turns the attention towards the hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.

As you would expect from the Sniper Elite franchise, the game offers unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat. Players can also expect huge agency on how to complete your mission, with optional kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extractions points, and side missions. Sniper Elite Resistance also introduces Propaganda Missions, a brand-new style of side mission to the series. Locate a unique Propaganda poster in each of the main campaign’s levels to unlock a Propaganda Mission where you become a Resistance Fighter.

    Six Days in Fallujah to Release First Documentary Missions and Give Players Control of an AI Fireteam

    six-days-in-fallujahToday, Victura announced its much-anticipated “Command and Control” update for the historically accurate first-person tactical shooter Six Days in Fallujah, available November 7, 2024, for all players on Steam.

    Six Days in Fallujah brings video game players closer to the realities of war by recreating real-world scenarios and authentic military tactics and blending these with documentary videos featuring interviews with Iraqis and Americans who were present during the Second Battle of Fallujah in November 2004.

    The upcoming Command and Control update reintroduces, and modernizes, the “squad-based shooter” genre, which was pioneered by games like the original Rainbow Six, Ghost Recon, Brothers in Arms, and SOCOM, but has been mostly abandoned for more than a decade due to the technical challenges of delivering realistic AI teammates that players can control. This upcoming update will allow players to execute sophisticated military tactics, like fix-and-flank, breaching, and 360-degree security, by giving orders to their AI fireteam.

    This update also introduces Six Days in Fallujah’s first two single-player story campaign missions, making Six Days in Fallujah the world’s first documentary videogame. These missions bring players inside the events that led to the creation of ISIS and the first major battle in which Iraqis and Americans joined forces to fight Al Qaeda in Iraq, which had seized control of the city of Fallujah.

    Six Days in Fallujah initially launched into Steam Early Access on June 22, 2023, instantly becoming the world’s #1 best-selling PC game, and it remained a Top 10 seller throughout the following week. Conceived by Sgt. Eddie Garcia, a Marine who was wounded during the battle, Six Days in Fallujah was created in collaboration with more than 100 US Marines and Soldiers as well as more than two dozen Iraqi civilians and soldiers.

    Developed by Victura’s internal development studio, Highwire Games, Six Days in Fallujah features a first-ever “Procedural Architecture” system that reshapes the physical architecture of buildings each time the game is played; just like actual combat, players never know what to expect. Six Days in Fallujah asks players to overcome real-world scenarios with their fireteams by using real-life military tactics while experiencing an unglamorized depiction of one of the most consequential events of the 21st century.

    Six Days in Fallujah’s Command and Control Update Key Features:

  • Advanced Fireteam AI System: The game’s innovative “Go! Command” makes it as easy for players to give orders to their AI fireteam as it is to fire their weapon. One tap causes the team to execute authentic military tactics, such as Fire and Maneuver, Breaching, Covered Movement, Ambush, and 360-degree Security.
  • First Documentary Story Missions: The first two single-player story campaign missions available in the Command and Control update draw players into the genesis of ISIS and the opening day of the Second Battle of Fallujah. These missions also act as a tutorial for solo players to learn the tactics and controls for leading three NPC teammates using the newly implemented Fireteam AI system.
  • New ‘HLZ Wolf’ Procedural Mission: In addition to two all-new single-player story campaign missions, the Command and Control update also includes the new “HLZ Wolf” “Procedural” mission, which can be played solo with Fireteam AI, as well as cooperatively with up to four human players. This brings the total number of “Procedural” missions to eight. And, for the first time, teams with fewer than four human players can now fill open slots with sophisticated AI teammates.
  • Graphical Overhaul: The game’s graphical engine has also been significantly upgraded. The game now adds ray-traced lighting and many new visual effects through NVIDIA’s RTX Global Illumination (RTXGI) technology, building upon the game’s industry-leading Global Dynamic Lighting and Procedural Architecture technologies, which dynamically simulate real weather and lighting effects and re-shape the physical architecture of buildings so no encounter indoors or outdoors is ever the same.
  • Additional Improvements: More than 300 technical enhancements, improving everything from game performance to the effectiveness of enemy AI to the smoothness of interactions and controls.

    • Six Days in Fallujah is available for purchase for Windows PC in Early Access via the Steam store for $39.99. Current players will be able to download the update free of charge once it is released. Future Steam Early Access updates will add more content and features to the game before Six Days in Fallujah’s full release on PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles in 2025.
