flying-tigers-shadows-over-china-logoHistorical air-combat action game to re-create air-battles of American pilots secretly flying combat for China in World War 2.

Ace Maddox today announced Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China, an air-combat action game for PC based on the historical events of America’s secret volunteer squadrons that flew against Japan in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theatre of WW2.

Get ready to swoop the skies of Southeast Asia as Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China reawakens a diverse set of historical WW2 air-battles, including the Japanese Christmas-raids on Rangoon in 1941, the Flying Tigers’ first combat over Kunming in China, the Battle of the Salween Gorge, “Hump” escort missions over the Himalayas, the Invasion of Malaya, and the Japanese conquest of Burma, to name a few.

Secretly recruited under President Roosevelt’s authority in 1941, the Flying Tigers were officially known as the “American Volunteer Group”. The clandestine unit was commanded by Claire Lee Chennault, a resigned US military-aviator who had been advising the Chinese Air Force since 1937.

Flying Tigers: Shadows Over China is scheduled for release in the summer of 2015.

Designed long before “fly-by-wire” technology was available to assist the pilot in flight control or smart bombs and beyond visual range missiles were developed to engage targets with precision from afar, the Kurfürst is a personal and exhilarating challenge to master. Powerful and deadly, the last production model of the only single-engined German fighter to see service throughout World War II, the Kurfürst provides an exhilarating combat experience to its drivers, and a worthy challenge to all fans of DCS: P-51D Mustang.

1C Game Studios is excited to announce that IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad is available digitally starting from today. The game can be purchased in two editions, Standard and Premium, for the price of $59.99 and $99.99 correspondingly. For additional information on both editions please visit www.il2sturmovik.com.

The game is available via Steam and official IL-2 Sturmovik web site. Retail versions in various languages will follow at a later date depending on local distributors.

IL-2 Sturmovik: Battle of Stalingrad is a combat flight simulation dedicated to the Battle of Stalingrad, one of the most decisive and fierce battles on the Eastern Front in WWII. This new project from 1С Game Studios represents the next generation of combat flight simulations with the latest development technologies – from a new higher level of physics modeling, damage modeling and aerodynamics to modern modes of gameplay with detailed, immersive environments.

The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics are pleased to announce that Su-27 for DCS World is now available as a pre-purchase from the DCS e-shop at: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/shop/. The pre-purchase provides both a 20% discount off the retail price and access to the Open Beta coming later on November 15th, 2014.

The Su-27, NATO codename Flanker, is one of the pillars of modern-day Russian combat aviation. Built to counter the American F-15 Eagle, the Flanker is a twin-engine, supersonic, highly manoeuvrable air superiority fighter. The Flanker is equally capable of engaging targets well beyond visual range as it is in a dogfight given its amazing slow speed and high angle attack manoeuvrability. Using its radar and stealthy infrared search and track system, the Flanker can employ a wide array of radar and infrared guided missiles. The Flanker also includes a helmet-mounted sight that allows you to simply look at a target to lock it up! In addition to its powerful air-to-air capabilities, the Flanker can also be armed with bombs and unguided rockets to fulfil a secondary ground attack role.

Su-27 for DCS World focuses on ease of use without complicated cockpit interaction, significantly reducing the learning curve. As such, Su-27 for DCS World features keyboard and joystick cockpit commands with a focus on the most mission critical of cockpit systems.

Su-27 for DCS World will sell for $9.99 at November 15th. Pre Purchase now for $7.99 and save 20%!

Note: This will be a free update to owners of Flaming Cliffs 3!
