Imperium Galactica II
By James CobbMuch of a Muchness
Imperiun Galactica II has many fine elements but nothing to hold them together. Players wade through layer after layer of menus to find the simplest bit of information. Running an empire of the size needed to survive is like playing nine games of Caesar III simultaneously.
All this tedious work and to what purpose? To build the biggest fleet to win a RTS battle! All these elements defeat the nice manual and tutorial. Player spend hours sweating details and confusingly redundant interfaces. Rabid micromanagers with time on their hands might enjoy this product for a while but others should stay away – far, far away.
