Rebellion, one of the world’s most successful independent video game developers and publishers, has today announced that Sniper Elite: Resistance will launch on January 30th, 2025 and is now available to pre-order. Sniper Elite: Resistance is coming day one to Game Pass and will be available both digitally and physically (with the boxed edition published by Fireshine Games) on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4, Windows PC and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.

Rebellion has also announced Sniper Elite: Resistance Deluxe Edition, which will include additional Season Pass content when that launches later in the year.

Gamers who pre-order Sniper Elite: Resistance receive a bonus new Target Führer campaign mission, an additional weapon skin, and the powerful Karabiner 98 Rifle. In addition to the bonuses included with the Standard Edition, pre-ordering the Deluxe Edition will also offer fans the classic M1911 Pistol and two days early access to the game.

In Sniper Elite: Resistance, Harry Hawker, agent of the Special Operations Executive (SOE), takes the lead role for the first time in the series as he discovers an insidious new Wunderwaffe – something so powerful, it guarantees the Nazis would win the war. This new standalone story runs in parallel to the events of Sniper Elite 5 and turns the attention towards the hidden war, far from the front lines, deep within the heart of occupied France.

As you would expect from the Sniper Elite franchise, the game offers unparalleled sniping mechanics, stealth and tactical third-person combat. Players can also expect huge agency on how to complete your mission, with optional kill List targets, multiple infiltration and extractions points, and side missions. Sniper Elite Resistance also introduces Propaganda Missions, a brand-new style of side mission to the series. Locate a unique Propaganda poster in each of the main campaign’s levels to unlock a Propaganda Mission where you become a Resistance Fighter.

Major update brings a new soldier class, new squads, weapons and gear

Darkflow Software and Gaijin Entertainment announce the release of the “Guerrilla Warfare” major content update for the military online shooter Enlisted. It brings the new Guerrilla soldier class, the new “Mountain Pass” map, as well as new weapons and vehicles such as sawed-off PPSh and self-propelled gun Marder III. In addition, tanks and other armored vehicles now look better in motion thanks to the new physical model of tracks.

Soviet partisans, German militias and irregular fighters from other nations can move around the enemy combat zone, that is usually closed to soldiers of other classes, and arrange treacherous ambushes. Only the respawn zones are off-limits to them. The guerrilla fighters have spare ammo for any weapon they might capture and carry extra charges of TNT for sabotage.

The new Mountain pass map in Ardennes is inspired by the bloody battles between the US and Germany in the winter of 1944. Here players fight for control of a small town with an important transport junction in the middle, maneuvering through snowy mountain forests, deserted streets and hastily constructed Allied fortified areas. The complex terrain provides many reliable shelters and no less ways to bypass them.

Finally, many wheeled and tracked vehicles in Enlisted have been visually updated. The suspension physics have become even more detailed, so tracks realistically stretch when driving over various obstacles, and the antennas sway when moving.

We would like to thank community devs Richard Simonitch and Keith Butterley for all their hard work. It is thanks to their contributions, and other community developers like them, that enable classic wargaming titles like this to be enjoyed decades after their initial release.

EDBTR version 1.06.83 fixes what we believe to be the last remaining bugs since the introduction of the original base game and adds some additional minor improvements to the user interface (UI).

We have also added a new feature for the Allied Typhoon fighter-bomber that allows the player to switch between bombs and rockets during strike planning. Rockets are far more effective against AFV’s than bombs, but much reduced effect against other targets within the ground units in the game.

The patch represents the culmination of over 15 years of development by the Matrix team on this unique and remarkable game system, including significant improvements to the UI, improved AI, historical orders of battle, and new documentation for PBEM, Aircraft production, and Electronic Warfare development.

Gary Grigsby’s Eagle Day to Bombing the Reich is currently on sale. At 81% off this week, it’s a real bargain to pick up this classic title.
