Conclusion
I like this game. It is simply a lot of fun to play. If you like space combat sims then this one is a must to have. It is a great game for those who have never played a space combat sim before and wish to try one. The interface is straightforward and the AI is not as challenging as other space combat sims so the beginner won't feel fustrated with Tachyon. Don't be fooled though, if you're an experienced simmer, and I mean any kind of flight simmer, and you like the competition of single combat, then get this game just for the multiplayer.
Because of cool maneuvers available like strafing and sliding, and the multitude of ships, weapons and equipment available, you will be challenged. I found it the most challenging multiplayer combat I've ever done in any type of game. Although I wasn't nearly as good as the rest of the players I played with, I can tell you that taking the time to become good at this game has got to be very rewarding for anyone who enjoys competition.
