Date: August 16, 2001Article Type: Retrospective By: Various COMBATSIM.COM is our name but strategy is also our game. If it's a military game, then we cover it. Since our earliest days on the Internet, we've covered wargaming. Given the current drought of sims, wargames, be they turn-based or real-time, are not only entertaining but also serve to sharpen our strategic and tactical planning skills. Skills we seem to need more these days as many combat sims incorporate a strategic element—Rowan's Battle of Britain, for example. Reality is what you make it and if you've never given strategic wargames a try, you should because once you get hooked, they can be just as "real" and immersive as any sim.
