Microsoft Sidewinder Game Voice

Voice over Internet communication is wonderful, but the name of the product is Game Voice after all, and the ability to substitute voice commands for in-game keyboard shortcuts is central to the product.
The Game Voice software includes many pre-fabricated profiles of many popular titles and more are available for download. However, the user may customize any and all conceivable keyboard shortcuts into the profile at their discretion.
The Game Voice is compatible with most popular multiplayer online games right out of the box, or you may create your own profile
Configuring a new command is a straightforward procedure. Simply type the phrase you want to speak to activate the command and then enter the keystrokes that you wish the software to execute upon command, and you are done.
Resist the tempation to make the playback voice say dirty words... okay, I admit it... I succumbed...
The software can also be programmed to inform you that your command has been recognized and is being executed through a single feedback beep or by the software using a rendered male or female voice to respond.

In your games, there is a slight pause while the command is deciphered and then executed, so many time-critical keystrokes are better left to the keyboard or to a programmable button on your joystick or game pad. However, for the routine commands, of the ones simply too arcane to memorize, this product excels.
Value for the Money?
In all, the Microsoft Sidewinder Game Voice is an excellent investment for the middle-of-the-road game player. The cost is reasonable and the quality of the included product is exceptional. The ease of use is nothing short of refreshing and perhaps most importantly; the quality of the gaming experience is made richer.
There are other solutions available on the market today, and each solution excels in its own arena. Some are more expensive, while others are not. Some feature instantaneous voice recognition in games that exceeds the capabilities of the Game Voice. However, for an all around solid investment and a cost-effective complete voice solution, few products can compare to this effort from Microsoft.
