COMBATSIM: Any last thoughts or important points we didn't touch yet in this interview?
Roger: SDOE WAR may have been my idea initially, but it would have died on the vine along time ago if it wasn't for the work, and contribution of the guys who helped hash out a fragment of an idea into reality. Without their tireless work, devotion to the cause, and ability to put up with my egomaniacal ways, we would not be talking about this now. They know who they are, but just so you do, in no particular order...Snickers, Goth, Neal, Gecko, Esox, Sparky, Werner and Jeeves.
These guys, as well as others I'm sure I've missed, and even more, who are only just now coming on-board the team, are the backbone of the SDOE WAR. If I forgot someone, I hope they will forgive my fading memory. Ya see, I've been busy working on this War thing.... : )
Fig. 7. Another working dayCOMBATSIM: Thank you very much for your time, and best wishes for the SDOE War concept to flourish!
More about the SDOE War can be found on the SDOE War pages, where one can also sign up for the event. The final testing will most likely be done on June 11th, and the SDOE War is expected to break out Sunday June 18th.
If you're tired of AI wingmen and want some real people to be just as ineffective in executing orders, or you prefer blaming the real commanders instead of the computer for coming up with pointless missions, blow the dust off that Fighter Squadron CD or get a new one (cheap) and join the SDOE War effort!
