Community
If the Aces High forums are any indication, the community behind Aces High is already a strong one. Most of the pilots you'll find on-line are more than happy to help a new player out. There are quite a few squadrons popping up, and if you have what it takes you will probably be asked to join one. The information in the forums is excellent, and if you have the time, we'd suggest reading through the different topics, especially the help and training section. Until the new help files go up on HTC's site, the best source of information is here.
After the two week free trial is up, Aces High will cost you $29.95 a month. Getting into this game requires a commitment in order to get good value for your on-line gaming dollar. Playing an hour a day will break down to a dollar per hour, fifty cents cheaper than Warbirds' best package. If you play over sixty hours a month, the hourly cost becomes negligible. The best thing to do is download and install the free trial version and see if Aces High floats your boat. Hi Tech Creations is banking on the fact that it will. It sure has floated ours. When you consider that AH is an on-line simulation, it is nothing short of stellar. When you then consider that it does everything so well with 31 megs of code, it is absolutely beyond belief.
We would like to thank Dale "Hitech" Addink for the time he has spent answering our questions, and any errors or omissions regarding Aces High are ours, not his.
HiTech Creations's Aces High is a direct hit. HTC has gone head-to-head with the big boys and unloaded a full burst into the competition's wing root. Day after day this game meets or exceeds our expectations on every level: game play, graphics, flight models, environment, and best of all---price.
